Julie Herbert is a Milliner. Her business so named Julie Herbert Millinery has been going for about seven years in the beautiful town of Orange in New South Wales.
Julie loves the Orange climate (and its pretty coloured name!), with snow in the winter and warm summers.
Orange is well known for its wine country and divine food options. The region is rich with natural beauty and has a friendly and supportive environment that has embraced rural businesses.
All of Julie’s millinery pieces are blocked and handmade by herself.
From headpieces to veils, hats, headbands, twist headbands, racewear, bridal wear, and everyday ware – the range is extensive.
Julie also loves creating one-off pieces for customers.
The most popular pieces are often from the leather collection – but for Julie, she LOVES them all!
All accessories are sourced from Australian businesses, with no imported goods in any of her pieces.
Julie’s favourite part of being in business and running Julie Herbert Millinery is being her own boss. Waking up each day and doing what she does is such a joy and delight – and so rewarding.
Her creative juices get to run free as she is always thinking about what her next project will be. Sometimes the ideas just spring from her head to the page as soon as she wakes up in the morning! That makes for a busy day building and creating!
