Aphrodite/Venus de Milos (Replica)
3D printed replica of Aphrodite (Venus) de Milo.
Available on back-order
The original Aphrodite/Venus de Milos is a sculpture from the Hellenistic period in Ancient Greece believed to have been crafted by Alexandros of Antioch. It is believed she was unearthed on the Isle of Milos in 1820, in pieces, by a peasant who then offered her for sale. She was eventually acquired by the French after some initial upsets and then taken to her home in the Louvre where she is to this day.
While the original statue consists of Parian marble this replica is made from white PLA+ and lovingly hand sanded to ensure a smooth surface.
At just over 12cm tall and weighing in at 22grams this replica is a bit easier to handle than the original (which stands just over 2m tall) and would grace any desk or bookshelf.
