TRADITIONAL INDIGENOUS AUSTRALIAN USE
Quandong (Guwandang) was an important food source and considered a suitable
substitute for meat – especially when hunting game was in short supply. They were also much valued for their medicinal properties including skin care.
Macadamia Nut (Boombera) was important to their diet, being eaten raw or roasted. Oil from the nut was often extracted and used for both medicinal purposes and cosmetic purposes as a base for face and body paints.
Quandong (Guwandang) is highly nutritious, contains twice the Vitamin C of an orange and is a blood sugar Leveller.
Macadamia Nut (Boombera) contain almost double the amount of monosaturated fats
and proteins of almonds. They contain no cholesterol and have even been shown to help lower blood cholesterol levels. High in vitamins and nutrients, Potassium, Phosphorus, Magnesium and Calcium, Niacin and dietary fibre, Phytochemicals, Polyphenols, Amino Acids, Selenium and Flavanols, A1, B1, B2, B5, B6, Vit. Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfill all your items at time of purchase. In this instance, we will contact you to let you know of a delay in fulfilling your order.
2. Processing & Dispatch Time
Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 3-5 business days of payment of order depending on stock availability. Our Chocolate Factory operates on Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays at which time we will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum. We ship Monday to Thursday to ensure your chocolate order spends as little time in transit as possible.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase.This price will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer. Australia Post Express Post is used, in order to ensure the product reaches the purchaser in the quickest time frame possible. During these COVID-19 times Australia Post have advised that Express Post is the fastest delivery option.
Australia Post Express Post Guaranteed Delivery is for postcodes in the same Express Post Network (currently due to COVID-19 restrictions Australia Post have suspended this). As Chocolate On Purpose is in regional NSW it is unlikely we are in the same Express Post Network as you, therefore add a business day to the delivery time frames shown on the Australia Post website here: http//auspost.com.au/service-updates/domestic-delivery-updates
The Express Post network delivery guarantee only applies to delivery time frames by Australia Post NOT the time of dispatch by Australia Post. Chocolate On Purpose will dispatch within 3-5 business days and then the Australia Post Express Post delivery time frame applies.
A Packaging & Handling fee will be charged at Checkout, which covers use of bubble-wrap to protect, and travel-ice to maintain integrity of your chocolate, so it arrives to you in the ultimate state of yumminess!
4.1 Return Due To Change Of Mind
Chocolate On Purpose® will not accept returns due to change of mind; misuse of the product by the Receiver; if the Receiver contributed to the problem or in the event of an occurrence completely outside of the business’ control. Should NSW Fair Trading Consumer Guarantee be applicable, the matter will be investigated and a solution be determined in line with NSW Fair Trading guidelines.
4.2 Delivery Terms
NB: Chocolate On Purpose is situated in Regional NSW. We are outside of the Australia Post Express Post Next Day Delivery Network. However Australia Post advise Express Post is still the quickest postage option.
4.3 Transit Time - Australia Post
In general, Express Post is in transit for 1 - 5 days, depending on location.
In general, Parcel Post is in transit for 4-7 days, depending on location.

4.4 Transit time Internationally
We do not ship Internationally.
4.5 Change Of Delivery Address
- For change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order is marked as "Processing".
- If you provide incorrect address information on your order and Australia Post "Return the Parcel to Sender", the cost of re-delivery will be at your own expense and the original order will be re-sent to you (as is). No refund will be issued.
- If Australia Post tracking shows the parcel was delivered but you have not received it, it will be your responsibility to request Australia Post assist you and investigate the non-delivery.
4.6 P.O. Box Shipping
Chocolate On Purpose® will ship to P.O. box addresses using postal services only. We are unable to offer couriers services to these locations. And same conditions as per 4.3 apply.
4.7 Delivery Time Exceeded
If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.
5. Tracking Notifications
Upon dispatch, you (as the customer) will receive an Australia Post tracking link via email, from which you will be able to follow the progress of your shipment based on the latest updates made available by Australia Post. Please ensure you white-list our email address: firstname.lastname@example.org so that this email will not go to your junk/spam folder.
6. Parcels Damaged In Transit
If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, please contact Australia Post and lodge a formal complaint.
7. Duties & Taxes- Australian GST
Australian GST tax has already been applied to the price of the goods as displayed on the website
If you change your mind before you have received your order, we are able to accept cancellations at any time before the order has been dispatched. If an order has already been dispatched, please refer to our refund policy.
Parcels are insured for loss and damage by Australia Post up to the value of $100.00. If you find your parcel is damaged in-transit, please contact Australia Post and lodge a formal complaint and claim.
