Hi I’m Carol, a city girl transplanted to the country 17 years ago when I married.  I moved from a bustling city of 200,000 to a sleepy town of 1,200.  The transition was hard, but now I wouldn’t have it any other way, maybe I was always a country girl at heart!  My husband is a small business owner himself and COVID-19 hit his business hard and we are hoping he is slowly on the road to recovery now.  Crossing fingers anyway.

At the end of 2017 I fell into rope sewing, literally, after doing a class making bowls out of plants and reeds and fronds from the garden. Whilst I loved the process of creating the bowl, I hated the mess and dirt and damp leaves. This lead me on a path of discovery to rope and the sewing machine and I was hooked.

In starting my business Buster and Coco my aim was simple – to make functional and colourful rope and textile accessories for your home. I want you to be that person who has something truly unique and others want to know “where did you get that”, and you can smile knowing you have something truly wonderful. And whilst looking really beautiful, everything I make needs to have a purpose. Coasters and mats to save your precious furniture from hot dishes, or wet glasses; bowls and baskets to clear table tops of clutter and hold the the car keys or loose change, or stray Lego from the floor.

My motto is simple. Life is short – use all the good things. Don’t be like my grandma and grandpa who “saved” the good things to use for another day – that day never comes. Bring joy to your home with colour and textile and functionality.

I hope you enjoy what you see, and give me a shout out if there’s something you’d love me to make or a colour you’d love to see used, and I’ll do my best.

Shipping Policy

Processing time
All items are ready made so they are ready to ship right now.  You'll find they'll be in the mail with tracking sent to you between 1-2 business days.

Shipping time
Orders will be shipped via Australia Post and you will be provided a tracking number via email so you are able to keep track of your parcel's progress. 

I offer FREE SHIPPING on all Australian orders over $75.00. 

My goal is to offer you prompt and efficient shipping of your item no matter where you live and will do my very best to get your parcel to you as quickly as possible for you to enjoy.

However with shipping though, nothing is guaranteed, except that I’ll get your purchases in the post ASAP after ordering. Then it’s in the hands of the postal services. So bear that in mind when you’re making your purchase.  So please consider when ordering I have no control over the shipping times once the parcel is in the mail but please do get in touch with me at busterandcoco@bigpond.com if you have any concerns.

Postage when buying multiple items
In the event that you check out with multiple items in your cart (and thank you for that!!), and if I have miscalculated the shipping due to weight, never fear - if this happens any overpayment of postage incurred when sending your item will be refunded to the nearest dollar when I'm processing your order.

Are you local to Mortlake (Vic), Warrnambool or nearby areas?
If you're local to Mortlake or surrounding areas and personally known to me, feel free to click the local pick up on checkout and you can dodge the postage fee and arrange pick up directly from me.  Just send me a message with your order and we'll arrange a time and date.  Let's get ready to rendezvous!!

Customs and import taxes
Any customs fees, taxes and/or duty fees will be the responsibility of the buyer, so please make sure you are aware of your county's rules in this regard.  I am not responsible for delays due to customs.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

I am happy to accept returns, exchanges and cancellations
Contact me within: 7 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery
Request a cancellation within: 2 hours of purchase

Should you feel the item ordered is not right for you, I am happy to exchange, provide a credit note, or if the item is faulty, a full refund. Please contact busterandcoco@bigpond.com.

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.  Packaging and tags must be intact.  I recommend you use registered post or a trackable courier when returning an item, as I cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit back to Buster and Coco.
Shipping charges will be waived only if the returned item is faulty.
Any credit notes issued will be valid for 3 months.
Refunds or credit notes are only processed once the original item has been returned to me.

Questions about your order?
Please contact me if you have any problems with your order.  If there has been a problem in delivery due to packaging, please forward through a photograph of the packaging and/or damage caused to the item during postage before returning.

How to return an item
Send an email to busterandcoco@bigpond.com to request a return authorisation. Then post your return within 7 days to:

Returns and Exchanges will be processed within 2 - 4 working days once the goods are received back to Buster and Coco.  You will receive a confirmation email once the credit note or exchange has been processed.
