Dalbeg Inn and Lorelish Relishes

Why Spend With Us?

Dalbeg Inn, McShane’s Produce and now Lorelish Relishes Paddock to plate and Rellie May Photo Art.

We are traditionally zucchini, gold squash, pumpkin, chilli, choko and sugar growers,  in the valley between the Burdekin River and Leichardt Range 95 klms from the town of Ayr in North Queensland.  Looking for something to do with the waste zucchini and chilli, Lorelle began to make a Zucchini mustard Relish that was something more than just a relish.  Over the years then adding Zucchini chilli Jam, Zucchini chilli sauce and a Choko pickle to the collection.

Recently affected by the lack of workers caused by Covid 19 McShane’s Produce had to make the difficult decision not to grow in 2021 after losing 2 crops at the end of 2020 due to no workers.  With no workers and no backpackers to frequent the little store and bush pub, Dalbeg Inn, it is close to the end of it’s life.  The Dalbeg Inn has quite a history with being the first remote area liquor license in Queensland which is hard to let go.

Rellie May Photo Art – I have been taking photographs for many years and love taking natural nature photos of where I live.  I am currently developing a range of photo art to complement my delicious Relish collection.

After finding Spend With Us, we had nothing left to lose but have a go at selling online and found Spend With Us very appealing with the focus on struggling rural businesses.
