Why Spend With Us?

Hello, I’m Jane. 

I came to Australia over 10 years ago, with my then, 12-year-old son Sam. Deciding to make a new life for myself after moving from the UK. At the time, there was a high demand for nurses (still is), so I was lucky to be accepted as an Australian resident and later as a citizen.

My caring nature is well suited to nursing, and throughout the years I’ve looked after many people through my jobs at local hospitals. Although nursing is well and truly in my blood, I’ve always had a hankering for something that’s more creative.

And over the years, I’ve been that crafty person. The one that’s always trying their hand at something new, following the latest trends and creating something for my home. My home has always been my design playground. I style everything. Taking the same care and attention to my home as I applied to nursing. Creating a living, breathing space that feels like home. I move things around constantly, perfecting my style and changing the mood of a room. I have a great eye for colour and design and get inspiration from the world around me.

I especially love coastal vibes. Bunting, Beach Huts, Boats and the striped fabric of deck chairs are reminiscent of my childhood holidays in English seaside towns.

I’ve always dreamt of owning my own homeware store, so when the the timing was right, and perhaps some divine intervention. My parents sadly passed away recently and left me some money. I saw it as a sign that now was the time to embrace my dream and make it happen. Life can be short, and it was my time to create the life I always wanted for myself. 

My lovely husband Stephen is my rock and the man that supports my dreams and ideas. He is a very lucky man (other than being married to me!) as he survived a cardiac arrest in 2019. We moved to the beautiful Central Coast NSW in 2020 so that Stephen can take life a little easier. 

I certainly can’t grumble about the effect COVID 19 has had on me when I think of friends and family in the UK, however my small business was knocked backed just as it got off the ground and my 2nd job, teaching overseas nurses in aged care facilities has been severely affected. For that reason I was thrilled to discover Spend with Us and have the opportunity to reach more customers via this wonderful marketplace.

My goal for Ruby’s Home Store is to inspire your home design. Offering one-off statement pieces, mixed with classic and timeless design. Giving you an affordable way to update your look and refresh the vibe in your home.

I lovingly select everything in the store so you’re guaranteed to love it as much as I do. Quality matters. So, you won’t see anything that I wouldn’t proudly display in my own home.

Shipping Policy

Shipping policy

All orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. 

Domestic Shipping Rates

We offer $9.95 flat rate shipping to most destinations and free shipping for orders over $150.

Some larger products are excluded from free or flat rate delivery in rural and remote areas. Please check with us if unsure before you order for a shipping quote.

Free local delivery is available for orders over $50 within 5km of Woy Woy NSW.

In-store pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our address in Woy Woy. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 2 to 5 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. 

Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

International Shipping

Flat rate for most small items to New Zealand is $20. We DO NOT offer other international shipping at present.

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you have not received your order within 7 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at hello@rubyshomestore.com.au with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

Some carriers have limitations around shipping to P.O. Boxes. For larger items we may contact you for another address.

Refund Policy

We accept returns up to 14 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return. 

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at hello@rubyshomestore.com.au with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
