THE PASSION TO STAND OUT
Every business has the ability to stand out from the crowded marketplace, for some it’s about investment in their craft, for others it’s about doing things a little differently, but for Suzy French of Suzy French Art it’s been about doing what others rarely do and spending endless hours researching and developing her form of art.
Suzy’s point of difference with her art is painting on Aluminium panels. In fact, there’s very few “Suzys” in the art world.
Suzy has taken years to develop and research her art form, which is now her business, named after her, Suzy French Art.
Suzy has been running her art business from her studio in Broome, Western Australia for about 15 years now.
She sells original oil paintings and merchandise created from her paintings. Suzy also offers an “artist hour” experience where people can come and paint with her, as she shares her skills and passion.
People who sign up for the experience to paint with Suzy, have often forgotten their craft or it’s lay dormant for many years. Just being with Suzy ignites that creativity again, which, for some, has been a life changing experience!
Suzy often hears comments like;

Feedback like this and just a shear love for what she does, keeps Suzy focused on the challenge of having the freedom of a full time art business.
Suzy ships her artwork all over Australia and the world – with her latest piece heading to Switzerland.
For those lucky enough to call into her studio, fall in love with her art because it “reminds them of the fabulous country they are travelling though”.
Broome, in Western Australia where Suzy’s art studio is, is a beautiful area, but a long way from most places.
Suzy lives in the remote Kimberley and believes that our natural environment has a lot to offer. The extremes of weather and the diverse, rugged expanse of this incredible country inspires Suzy to push paint around on canvas and aluminium.
“The desire to paint is irresistible after being out bush”, Suzy says!
So, what’s next for this artist who gains so much inspiration from her environment?
Exhibiting again in 2021 is high on the list! Together consistently building on stock to be sold locally and online, and continuing to develop merchandise from her original art.
